Oswald Chambers in the Academy Library

During March we focus on the life and works of Oswald Chambers, and every day start the morning with a quote from this famous Scottish pastor, teacher and chaplain during World War I to British troops stationed in Egypt. He died tragically at a young age while in Egypt, but his wife, Biddy, took notes of his sermons and published many of his teachings after his death. Her most famous compilation was the daily devotional My Utmost For His Highest. The library has this devotional, a biography of his life by D.W. Lambert, as well as his complete works in one volume with an accompanying CD. Here are a few quotes from Oswald Chambers that have inspired and comforted this month:
