Elisabeth Elliot would agree with this view. She is the author of The Savage My Kinsman, the story of her brave effort to reach the Huaorani (Auca) people in Ecuador after they brutally murdered her young husband and four of his fellow-missionaries. She wrote many other books as well and has some wonderful insights into prayer. In one of her books she writes:
"Are you as often tempted as I am
to doubt the effectiveness of prayer?
But Jesus prayed. He told us to pray.
We can be sure the answer will come,
and it will be good."
The library has several of Elisabeth's books and some other resources about the effort to reach the Huaorani with the news of God's love.
